Today was yet another whirlwind day of deliveries! We headed up to Sais and Apold to give out the shoeboxes.
I am still struggling to capture the children's excitement as they open their boxes...but here are a couple of attempts!
Some of the children were in a different building so they walked to hear the story and get their boxes.
There was a playground outside one of the schools so of course Natalie and Victoria were on it as soon as the boxes were given out. Natalie couldn't actually get up the rope ladder but after she was helped up we made tracks to the slide at the end. The slide was bumpy and Natalie took the first go which dried it off nicely for the rest of us!
So again, it was home after two schools and two kindergardens. A quick turnaround and off to another village to give out food parcels, potatoes and blankets.
And then Norman fulfilled one of his promises to me. About five weeks ago I had mentioned that a wee ride in a horse and cart would be epic. And so I was lifting up a few food parcels when I heard Norman calling me over. There was a horse and cart with a young lad in it. So I jumped up into the front seat and off we went for a wee jaunt around the block. So I have now been in a Romanian horse and cart. Whoop!!
On the way home we stopped to give out parcels in Grace Valley. It was a brief stop but a good opportunity to just remind the people of the love God has for them.
Tonight we made up food parcels and I am now ready to crash into bed. At half past nine.
